Corina Sas   

Dr. Corina Sas is a lecturer in Computing Department at Lancaster University with research interests in the area of
Human-Computer Interaction. With a background in both psychology and computer science, her research focuses on high level skill acquisition and training, particularly in the field of spatial cognition, creative problem solving in design, and reflective thinking. She coordinates the DESIRE network: Creative Design for Innovation in Science and Technology funded under Marie Curie Programme, EU FP7 (over 3 mil. euro). Corina plays an active role in the research community, being general co-chair of the 21st British HCI conference in 2007, and co-organiser of various workshops in the field (CHI 2006, 2008, 2009). For her exceptional work in applying and evaluating advanced teaching and learning methods in the field of Human Computer Interaction, in 2009 Dr Sas was awarded the Lancaster University Teaching Prize.
